Hey guys, I meant to write this last week but completely forgot.
I found out last Wednesday that Melody's mom passed away the week before (it would have been the week of the 26th). It was kind of a sudden thing. I know she went in to her doctor for a regular appointment and they rushed her to the hospital because her blood pressure was so low. It turned out that she had an infection in her bloodstream and they had to do a procedure in order to place antibiotics directly into the heart (to pump through the blood stream and cure the infection). They were also supposed to put a pacemaker in. Anyway, there were complications and she didn't end up making it through the procedure.
I was supposed to have a meeting with Lori last week, but she called me saying that she wanted to be there for Melody in the evenings and wasn't ready to leave her yet. (She also told me that Melody's mom was like a second mother to her...and barely made it through the convo without crying.) She was so, so sweet and gracious for me not minding (um, how in the world could I?). Then on Friday, I got a call from Melody herself, apologizing...yep, APOLOGIZING for the inconvenience and trying to set up a time to reschedule. I haven't even met these ladies but they seem like such an incredible group. I feel so sorry for both of them as I know this must be a really hard time.
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that if there's been any lack of response from them over the past few weeks, this is why. Hope you'll all keep them in your T&Ps.
