I just really need to vent about this. I'm taking an online English class this summer. I plan to graduate in December so if I don't get it now I'll have to take an extra semester for one class. I've taken these classes before and hadn't had problems until now.
My teacher doesn't do anything but list when an assignment is due. I emailed her Thursday to find out what criteria our topics had to meet for an upcoming assignment.
She emailed me back Friday when it was due and directed me to a page that only said how to write the paper. I emailed her back immediately and said that I had wanted to know what our topics needed to be specifically, as in did they need to be about a specific subject or meet any criteria. Friday passes and she never emailed me back even though she was online all day (the site shows us whos online in the class).
I had to send in a topic without knowing what she really wanted. I didn't get a reply about what she wanted until Sunday which obviously was the Fourth of July. I also found out Sunday that she wanted us to have a bunch of research done for the paper and turned in Monday with references. Tuesday we need a bibliography with five specific references including a book.
That's great and all, but all the libraries have been closed until the 6th. I can't get a book to use, unless I purchase one, until the day I need to turn my paper in with the information on it.
I emailed my teacher again and told her it was going to be difficult to find a book to use because of libraries. Her reply was that the assignment had been open for a week and I should have had one. How am I going to have information on a topic that I didn't know about until Friday, and even then didn't know if I had what she wanted?! She still didn't even tell me what she really wanted until the fourth which was two days after I had to have my topic picked.
This woman makes no sense and I'm worried she's going to screw with my grade because I've had to email her about not getting the information I need in time. Sorry this is so long, I'm just frustrated.
