Ever since I started planning a wedding (and thanks to pinterest, that was long before i was engaged! :) ) I have wanted to do a deep purple and grey wedding. But just recently, my mother said that such a deep color wasn't a very "springy" color. That's crazy, right? Is anyone else doing a purple wedding?

    A friend of mine is getting married the week after me, she is doing a deep purple and silver.

    I'm doing purple too! Haven't decided on the shade yet. I started out wanting deep purple but the more I have been on pinterest the more I am liking lighter shades of purple. I say go with what you like!

    I'm doing different shades of purple. I worried about it being too dark, but I'm over it. I think you should use the colors you like. If you want to make it more spring like, you can always add more flowers and greenery to your decor.

    We're doing dark purple and cornflower blue. I didn't even think twice about our colors for the spring but I guess we were originally going to get married in October, so I guess I don't really care. Do what you want!

    Our main wedding color is a clover green with a deep purple to accent.  Purple strikes me as a very rich color that could fit well in a spring color scheme.

    Do what you love!!

    I'm doing eggplant (or something similar), periwinkle blue, and silver as an accent color. A few people tried to talk me out of it for the same reason (not "springy" enough). But I've wanted dark purple since I was little, so there was no talking me out of it! :)

    It's your wedding. If you love it, do it.
