I don't know if this is a good or bad thing, but I've never even heard of it.  Is it in New Orleans? I thought I was pretty familiar with most local bakeries.

I've never heard of them.  We used Swiss for my daughters wedding and regret it big time.  They "forgot" to decorate the cake.  How do you forget to decorate a wedding cake?  They literally iced the cake and sent it like that.  We even paid extra for a larger square cake,  My daugther and I stood their for an hour designing exactly how she wanted the cake.  The week before the wedding she brought them the cake pulls that she picked out (nicer ones than the ones they use).  They could have confirmed anything then.  There response to me was "I knew when it left here something was wrong...nobody wants a plain wedding cake".  I still shake my head in disgust everytime I think of that big white sqauare box they called a wedding cake.  The people are very rude and they don't even offer you a place to sit and relax while deciding what you want.  We went there on reputation alone....last time I'll ever use Swiss for anything.

I'm using Sucre. They were WONDERFUL to plan with and are willing to follow you vision or lead you where you need to go if you're not sure. I only reserached them, so I'm not sure if they are expensive or not. $500 for a cake that feeds about 70. And the cake actually tasted amazing.

Sweet life is not "really" in New Orleans it is in a suburb on the outside of New Orleans. I never heard of them either...until I went to the bridal show at the Westin...what a zoo that  was! Anyway, I did taste the cake and thought it was one of the better ones at the show.

  • Do not use Sweet Life!!! I used them for my wedding cake and it was horrendous! The cake looked nothing like how it was supposed to and they didn't secure the cake to the table properly so it fell on the floor. Tried to talk to them to get a partial refund and they didn't care at all. Would not recommend!
