Does anyone know a good place to get their wedding dress alterations done? Please help! Thanks!!!

What area of NH are you looking in? I am getting mine altered in Billerica, MA and I highly recommend my seamstress, Fay Carraher, but that might be too much of a drive for you.

I have my first appt on April 21st. I will be using Dolly's Dress Making in Hudson, NH. I haven't worked with her yet but have only heard the best of things about her.

Agree with Kfudge.. I have an appt with her in May. Tons of Knotties recommend her, and I've never read even one bad thing. I hear her prices are good too

Just to ease some of your minds. My sister bought a sample dress (size 12) and she is a 16. Needless to say it did not fit and she gained weight. She was in a panic. I mentioned the great reviews about Dolly so she made an appt. Dolly is a miracle worker when it came to this dress. She not only let the dress out but remade the corset. My sister is on her forth fitting because Dolly wants to make it perfect for her and ease my sister's fears. For $240, she has had the following: length taken up on her very heavy intricate maggie including the layers of lace and beading, bustle, the top taken in, corset completely remade, and a few other things. She also went above and beyond. When she heard my sister was on the insulin pump and was going to have to wear an uncomfortable thigh strap for the iv line, she offered to make her a little blue satin pouch to sew into the interior of her dress so it was far more comfy.

This very long post is just to say that you can't go wrong with Dolly. She is an absolute doll, has great prices, and does incredible work.

Oh and she will even come to you to help you get dressed if you have a hard dress to get into for what she calls a "tip" She doesn't set a price but whatever we want to give her. Since she is coming to the hotel and getting my sister into her dress, lacing her up, and also helping 6 other girls with their dresses (all corset), my sister decided on a 100 since she has saved her tons on alterations.

Sorry a sidenote....when we were at Dolly's the other day, she asked how we found her. We said the knot and how she always has amazing reviews. We asked if she ever goes on to read them and she said nahhh she doesn't want to see what people are writing about it. She just does her job
