The Club Continental?

Hello Jax brides! Has anyone had their wedding reception at The Club Continental, booked their future wedding reception there or been to a reception there? I've skimmed the website and it looks gorgeous and the menu prices look pretty reasonable. Any reviews?

    I am getting married and having my reception there Sept. 26th.

    They are having an event there this summer for food tasting and meeting preferred vendors.  It is $25. 

    The manager is very nice and helpful.

    I have been helping a friend her wedding coordinating business and we have had 2 wedding there.

    here is what I've learned from being behind the scenes of a wedding there.

    the food is really good. there is a girl bartender there with curly brown hair she is extremely rude and tries to run everything.

    If you have a buffet and you want the tables set with silverware they will not do it. Which when you go through a buffet you do not want your guests to have to carry all the silverware also. but they make you and if you really want to do it you have to have your wedding coordinator shine all if it and put it. which in my eyes aren't they gunna shine it anyways. but oh no we literally shined hundreds of forks and knives. so little things like that the staff is not very helpful at all.

    one of the weddings i saw brought in chivari chairs there and it look so beautiful. we used chair covers on their chairs and they just did not look right. so i would recommend doing chivari's.

    another thing that bothers me is right after the ceremony the crew literally breaks down the entire ceremony area even when guests are outside have cocktail house and making noise and are disruptive. If i were the bride i would say could you please leave the ceremony area until dinner is being serve inside. 

    hope that helps. it has great views. lots of great places are pictures. its a little choppy inside if you have a big group so everyone cant be together, but if your having a smaller wedding it would work great.

    I have been to two different wedding there. Both were intimate and perfect for the style the bride and groom were going for. I would recommend this place.
