XP: How does this sound? Proportions.

I was looking to keep my flower budget rather low, and after reading some of the Sam's reviews have decided this might be a good route.  They offer a 100 pk of roses (72 pink 25 white) for $72.76 and 5 pks each of gypsopilila & leatherleaf for $67.34.

How does this sound as far as proportions go for the roses, with each piece will be accented by the LL & gyps?

Corsages - 1 pink & 1 white rose
Bouts - 1 pink rose
Bridal Bouquet - 12 pink & 12 white
BM Bouquets - 13 pink

Does that sound like enough flowers?

I've got corsages planned for moms, grandmas, & sisters, bouts for the grooms, groomsmen, dads, grandpas, and brothers.  I'm also planning on giving FSD a corsage in addition to her bouquet (her brother will have a bout as a GM already).

Depending on who comes (deployed, out of country, elderly, etc.) and actual quality once they've arrived I may play with the bouquet proportions a little bit or change the groom's bout to white.

They also offer 120 pk of roses (50 pink, 75 white) for $107.84 or 200 white for $129.86.  I don't plan on using any other fresh-flowers at this point.  The 200 white is obviously the best deal but I really don't think I'd use 200 roses, unless I opt to use them for decorations (which I wasn't planning on).  I also wasn't planning on a bouquet toss at this point, so a toss bouquet isn't a possibility either.

Pink isn't anywhere else in the wedding so it's not required, it just seemed like a good complementary color.  We're going for more of teal-ish color in addition to white & black decor.  Juniper is my favorite DB BM dress color atm.

    My suggestion would be to do some mock-ups before you order anything.  Put together your bridal bouquet and one of your BM bouquet and see what they look like.  You may find out that you want a larger or smaller bouquet and then adjust accordingly.

    That's my plan.  The next time I'm somewhere with silks I'll bunch them together and see what I think of the volume :)  I was actually thinking about buying some to practice wrapping & arranging just so when the time comes for the fresh flowers it'll be super quick & easy.

    Your first numbers were accurate but you should allow for some breakage and bruiised blooms too.  

    5 babies breath and leather leaf ara a lot of flowers..and not the classiest looking ones. 

    I would probably skip the fillers and buy the 200 whites...  more flowers and less filler stuff for similar money and a nicer look.

    I think I would skip so much filler and up the actual flower quantity too...I just went to the 1800flowers website and clicked on the flowers then roses tab.  You can get an idea of what a dozen roses vs. 2 dozen roses (or more)  looks like...also, at the bottom of the page they show coursages and bouts...also, if you aren't using pink anywhere else in your wedding, you might not want to go with pink flowers.

    You can certainly use the baby's breath and leather leaf in bouquets and bouts if you want, but you don't really need them at all.  They are more for floral arrangements, so I'd opt for more roses without the filler and greenery. 

    You did not mention how many bouquets you will be needing.  ThThe bouquets will take up the bulk of your flowers, so matters a lot if you only need 3-4 bouquets, or if you need 10.  A moderately sized bridal bouquet will need 2-3 dozen roses, and a BM bouquet 18-24 stems. 

    The pink and white sounds like a nice compliment to the teal, it will be very pretty.  I also suggest making mock ups with silk flowers, and perhaps saving the faux bridal bouquet to use for any pre wedding bridal photos, or for a "tossing bouqet", if you plan on doing them.

    Keep in mind that artificial rose stems are often smaller and more pliable, and fresh stems are thicker and more rigid, so they will be thicker.  Congrats and good luck to you.
