Has anyone looked at rings at Stafford Jewelers in Kenwood Mall or Richter & Phillips downtown?

If so, what was your experience with these places? I am looking to get a new setting for my diamond and a wedding band.  I am looking for a Tacori ring, so I am kinda limited to these 2 places for right now. My fiance also needs a wedding band.

Thanks for any help you can give.

We got my e-ring at Stafford's in Florence and my wedding band at the Kenwood store.  I much preferred the Florence store.

We got DH's ring at R&P, and he has bought me other jewelry there.  They were willing to negotiate on the price of DH's ring, which was nice.

My ring is also a Tacori from Stafford.  DH bought it from the location that was on Montgomery but had a good experience and was able to negotiate the price of the diamond quite a bit.  I recently had one of the accent stones fall out, and they had it replaced at no cost within two days.

I got my rings at Richter and Phillips and have nothing but praise for them. I had a setting on my original rings that was flawed and they did SO much to make it right. They still clean and care for my rings on a regualr basis and I would go back to them for anything from this point forward. They know their stuff and you know they will be around!

FI looked at both Stafford and Richter and went with Stafford in the end.  He said R&P was a bit shady at the end, just before he was going to actually buy my e-ring from them, so he had to walk away.  I've been very pleased with Stafford (Kenwood location) - our contact there is friendly, helpful, cleans my ring all the time and gave us a good deal on our wedding bands.

We got my e-ring and both of our wedding bands at R&P and they were great to work with.  We worked with Bill based on a rec from one of my friends and I also have nothing but praise for hm and R&P.  They worked with us to get exactly what we wanted and they gave us a great deal.  Whenever we buy any jewelry in the future we will definitely use them again.

We used Bill at R&P too... he is great. They negotiate and the best part is that future maintence, cleaning and re-dipping or gold-plating is free (included).

I highly recommend Bill from R&P. While I was not there when the diamond and ring were purchased -- from what my fiance has told me they did a great job at helping him pick the best diamond and setting for his budget. Bill showed him a number of different diamonds, taking the time to educate him about the pros and cons of the different levels of the 4Cs. We have since gone back to buy my wedding band and also plan on purchasing fiance's band from them as well.
