Flip flop thoughts...

I was thinking of putting a basket of flip flops out for the women who want to kick off thier shoes, but I have no clue how many to buy. I have around 200 guests, so about 100 women, do you think 60 is good? I want people to take them, but I don't want flips flops in baskets strew all over my reception :) I was actually thinking of just putting them in the bathroom. Any thought or ideas for me on this?

Thanks!!

I think this is a nice gesture. I wouldn't get too many though, the older guests will be unlikely to use them, I think it is more for the younger women. Although, personally I would keep my own shoes on. I would think that 30-40 would be more than enough, and leaving them in the bathroom is a good idea- unless you are doing an outdoor/beach wedding- then maybe at the entrance of the tent or patio/beach.

We did 40 pairs with 150 guests and had 2 or 3 pairs leftover... HTH!

I had 50 pairs for 200 guests, and I think only one pair of leftovers.  I put them in the bathroom - as I think it's more comfortable for women to change their shoes in there.  I went to a wedding where they were on the edge of the dance floor, and I hated how I had to lean down in front of what felt like the whole wedding to pick out a pair.

Thats what im doing and I bought around 40 of them. I didnt want to go over board because some people wont want to wear them and I dont want to end up with extras at the end. You also have to remember that a lot of people actually bring their own with them.

i LOVE the idea of flip flops. i am having an oceanside ceremony in the sand and will even have some for the ceremony as well if people don't want to walk in the sand with dressy shoes on.

Nantucket- for your situation I would actually recommend more, and even some for the guys!

Where are you girls looking to buy them from or have bought them from? I LOVE this idea and am planning to do it for my wedding!
