Veil opionions, please

To wear covering your face or not to wear covering your face, that is the question...

I'm really undecided on this. I like the idea of being traditional, but I don't love the idea of something covering my face as I walk down the aisle.

Re: Veil opionions, please

  • I am wearing a blusher over my face as its a Jewish tradition and my mother really wants me to do it. If I had the choice with no traditions to haunt me, then i would not wear it as I think photos would look nicer without it.

    HTH!
  • When you go for your dress fitting - take a picture with it on and without. This might be hard but try to have the picture taken by either the dress place or a friend/family member who is not going to force their opinion on you. This needs to be a decision you make.

  • I'm not wearing a veil period. I vote for no covering the face unless you really love it!

  • I agree with Faith :-)  My Mom and at least one of my bridesmaids seemed dead-set that I need one for the ceremony.  And I'm dead set that I don't want one, so they lose :-P  Lol I'm so non-traditional though.

  • Although I am traditional and a hopeless romantic, I don't like the veil covering the face.  HTH!

  • Yeah, I'm Jewish and bought a blusher, but the more I think of it... I just don't like the idea of it...

  • I agree with the other ladies...no veil over the face.  While I know it's traditional, it takes so much away from your photos.  Not to mention that it not removed until the groom gets ready to kiss you, which is the end of the ceremony.  I've decided to go with a single tier veil that will hang in the back and can remove it during the reception.
