Wedding Invitations & Paper

insert cards

I have three inserts in our invites and am worried they are too big.one is an accomodations cards, one is a reception and the other is rsvp. I made these all on word and used the template from cardandpockets. I was going to cut these myself but now am thinking of just having them printed of cards and pockets. My problem is there there is a lot of open space on the rsvp and reception cards and i dont know what to fill it in with. I cant cut it because then it wont have the staircase effect. Should i just fill it in with a dingbat or something?

Re: insert cards

  • Can you change the font size so it would be larger and take up more room?  Or can you cut all of them down to still have the staircase effect, but not have the gaps with nothing written?
  • im going to post a pic. I dont want to make the font of the accomodations card much smaller and i cant figure out how to turn the text sideways on the rsvp card, which would allviate the problem

  • What program are you using? If you're using anything in the microsoft family, you can turn text sideways by using a text box, then rotating the whole thing (even in Word.) I did this for my RSVP card.

image 127 Will be missing out!

  • for some reason, Word 97 wont let you rotate the text in a text box, ive tried and looked online to see if im missing something, it just doesnt allow it :(

I wonder, can i take out the addresses to the hotels on the accommodations card and just put the website or phone number? on the bottom of the accommodations it says
please see our website for more information"

I just dont want to make the text too small
