Bachelorette Dinner Ideas

I'm trying to plan a pre-bachelorette party for all of our female guests, Thursday before our wedding. This would be something that guests would pay for themselves (my mom has offered to buy everyone's drinks). I was hoping for Mon Ami Gabi (it's one of my faves), but they won't do separate checks (which I kinda expected), and require a set menu (starting at $57 before tax and tip). I'd much rather everyone be able to pick their meal, since they are paying.

Anyway, I think that's probably too much to expect guests to pay, especially if they are going out for a night of drinking afterwards. So I'm trying to come up with more casual restaurants with a good atmosphere. Off the top of my head, maybe Pink Taco...or Stripburger? Anyone have experiences with these restaurants? Other suggestions are much appreciated!

This whole thing seems like a logistical nightmare! It's possible that we'd have a total of 32 people...and trying to gather all of that cash...and work out the bill. Just seems really daunting. How did you deal with this or how are you planning on dealing with it?

We had my bachelorette dinner at Yolos in Planet Hollywood. There are 36 people, they gave us the entire back part of the restaurant. I don't believe we had a set menu, we all ordered straight off the menu and then they separated the bill out at the end of the night, we told them at the beginning who was on whos bill so there was no confusion when the bill came.

My MOH sent out a text message to all the women that were in town on Monday and set dinner for Friday and then she asked me where I wanted to go and called a set up a reservation. She didn't seem like it was that difficult to do. We definitely spent less than $57 pp and we went to Eye Candy in MB afterwards.

If you go to Pink Taco, I'd love to know how the food is. I've been trying to get there the last few times we've gone.

I think we are going to do either Cheesecake Factory or Grand Lux, the menu is big enough where everyone can find something and the food is YUMMY! I wouldn't have minded Mexican but my mum and aunt's are too PICKY!!!

I hear Diablo's in Monte Carlo is good or you could try Isla's in Treasure Island.

ETA: We had a dinner at PF Chang's in PH and they were willing to split the total check 4 ways. We ended up paying, but it was nice to have the option.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

@wallacje So what you're saying is...it's not as big of a nightmare as I'm making it out to be? LOL. Thanks for the reassurance. Anybody else care to weigh in on Yolo's? If I'm remembering right, haven't they had some bad reviews lately?

TBH, I think everyone except me had fair to great reviews of them. I'm guessing we just caught them on a REALLY bad day.

Its not. But during my wedding planning EVERYTHING was a big deal or a panic attack, so I totally get where you are coming from. LOL. I think its the unsureness (not a word, but making it one for now, lol) that makes everything that you plan or do wedding related a big deal.

My family ate at Yolo's when we got married a month ago. We were a group of 10 and they informed us upfront that they require $25 per person spent for groups of 10 or more. We knew with a couple drinks and dinner we would be at $25 a person easily so it wasn't a hassle. We had great customer service and we all ordered off the menu. But we did have a 45 minute wait at 7pm at night for a table.
They also initially told us they wouldn't seat us until we all arrived, but the majority of the group was there when they called us and we didn't have an issue.
The people seating were more about the rules than the actual servers we were dealing with.

    1) I've had apps/drinks at Pink Taco and they were fabulous. I was impressed with the guacamole (something I'm pretty picky about).

    2) We're doing our dinner at Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan. It's a buffet, so the prices are cheaper, but it seems pretty elegant. Just wanted to throw in another option:

@wallacejce Yep! You are so right!

@nycheryl Wicked spoon looks soooo good. Do you know how that works with a large group? Can everyone pay separately?

Thanks everyone! I'll look into these suggestions.

Yes, I've been working with Rose at Cosmo and she's been SUPER helpful. You can have everyone pay when they walk in, like any buffet, I believe. If you sign a contract in advance, they can lock in the rates (I think their prices have jumped up a bit lately). Another Vegas bride (I can't remember her SN!) did her Meet N Greet there and had great reviews. Rose's email is ROSE.AHARONIAN@cosmopolitanlasvegas.com.

@nycheryl Hi again :) So Rose said that parties of 13 or more would have to be one check. Boo. Just wanted to check if that was the same info you got.

I had my bachelorette night dinner at The Society Cafe, in Encore. It is gorgeous and we didn't have to pay any sort of deposit at all (very unusual for a group booking, I found!)

We could choose from a set menu or order a la carte.

They reserved us a table in front of the big pink couch and let me bridesmaid in early to decorate the table and get things ready.

The food was American-style with a twist, quite gourmet and extremely delicious! Good cocktails as well.

There are lots of good clubs nearby for after - we went to the piano bar and got free passes for XS.

Encore is so pretty and girly - perfect for a bachelorette night!

Oh! I didn't realize that. We're paying for everyone (it's more of a meet-and-greet for us), so I didn't even ask. I'm sure people could pay separately, but you'd have to risk not getting a table together, etc. My apologies!

What about a dinner show? Everyone can easily buy their own ticket hassle free and you can all sit together. I heard Tony and Tinas wedding is great!

No prob! Just wanted to compare notes. :) Seems like it would be super easy for a buffet to just have a section of tables for a group, and have everyone pay as they go in. But I guess not. Whatevs!

Thanks again for the suggestions everyone! One of my bridesmaids kindly offered to take over the planning, so I've passed on your suggestions, and she's taking it from there. She's contacted the concierge at the Platinum (where we're getting married) to try to get some help making the reservation. I'll let you know how it turns out!
