  No, I don't think it's rude, as long as you phrase it politely.  I would say something like, "It was great meeting you last night and we really enjoyed your work.  We also have a couple "must have" shots that we really want to captures.  I've attached some examples and was hoping that you could look them over and let me know if these shots seem reasonable to you...." 
  
  In fact, you should let the photographer know what your "must have" shots are so that you get exactly what you want.  This is something I didn't do and while I love my photos, there are a couple I would have liked.

  I agree with Carly's response.  There is always a tactful way to approach the subject.  If you do sign with this photographer and decide to do some engagement photos, maybe she would be willing to experiment with you at that time to try and produce the shots you love.

  Yes start a must take photo list now!  The day of you will be so wrapped up in the moment and people running around you will miss shots you want.  I didn't realize that my photographer didn't just take standard all WP shots or shots of the mom and the bride together getting ready etc.  I forget if it was this board or the Sept board but one girl had a list 3 pages long of EVERY shot you could ever imagine.
  
  As long as your tractful though I would say go for it.  I made sure my photog knew I wanted pics of my train pulled around in front of me with my flowers on the ground and panaramic shots of our ceremony for our album.  He claims the flowers on the train was his "idea" so I think it made him feel good that I liked his idea. 
  
  I agree in the e-pics to try out some of the angles or shots to make sure they work for you and your FI.

  Just be cautious about it; If her photo's are not quite the style that you want, well, yeah she can try and give you more of the shots that you'd like but honestly if thats not her perspective then chances are it might not end up exactly how you want it. I'd say look a little more and see if you can find someone who fits your vision without having to adjust to do so?

  I would agree with the other girls.  I would ask about different types of photos, but I might also look at a photographer who more commonly uses the type of photo that you're hoping for.  I would be cautious about having someone try using a different style than they're used to, with something so important.  I do agree that perhaps a trial shoot (such as e-pics) might be a way to broach the topic if you're really set on using this photographer. good luck!
