MOB dress color

My main color is peacock... kind of like a teal/turquoise.  I was wondering what the "rule" is for the MOB's dress color?  What about the MOG?  My mom was asking me about this and well I have no idea so any info back would be greatly appreciated.

    The MOB and MOG may choose any color, style and length they like. They don't have to match or complement each other, the wedding party or the decor. It is a long held tradition that the bride should be the only one in white, so the mothers should avoid any shade of white or ivory.

    Your mom doesn't have to match the wedding party.  IF she wants to, she certainly can, but about the only actual rule in play is that she shouldn't wear white.

    The MOB and MOG get to choose whatever they want to wear.  There is no rule for what it has to be.  It can be any color, length, material, etc. It just has to be whatever they like that they are comfortable in.

    They can choose whatever they want to wear, like PP said.  But as a courtesy, whoever buys their dress first, may want to give a heads up to the other mom about what color dress she bought.
