ipod instead of DJ?!

So I was wondering if anyone has used their ipod for all their wedding music instead of a DJ and if so how did it go? I was thinking of doing that for my wedding to save money. Thanks!

http://lorio-ross-entertainment.blogspot.com/2011/08/ipod-vs-dj-vs-live-band.html explains the pros and cons of each. I would say its a good idea if you have someone to control the Ipod (maybe a friend or friend of a friend) so you don't have to worry about anything!

We were going to do this. We had the playlists ready to go and everything. But someone surprised us and booked one for us. I say go for it is a DJ isn't in the budget. But make sure you listen to every song on there.

I don't have any personal experience with an ipod at a wedding, but I would go with a DJ if you have the budget. I told the DJ which songs I want him to play, but if no one is on the dance floor I want him to get everyone pumped and back on the dance floor. I also think they keep a nice flow to the reception.
