Ceremony Order

I am wondering what you ladies are doing as far as a ceremony.
We are not having a bridal party, so I wanted some unique ideas

No bridal party for us either.

I wonder about a receiving line.  I know there are really no rules, but this is merging two families and many of the people have never met.

Do you mean the order of the ceremony itself?  Or something along the lines of a processional?  The ceremony wording/order often comes from the officiant.

We skipped the receiving line, but the two of us stood outside the church to greet our guests as they left.  Our kids were nearby to be introduced or just greeted.  Since close family had to stick around for pictures, they were also all milling around, so there were lots of introductions, hugs and catching up.  ~Donna

My FI and I will just come out ourselves (to mariachi music), and say a short vow to each other (in Spanish), then the kids want a sand ceremony, aaand then its dinner time.  The dinner will be at the house where we'll say vows, so it's quite casual.

I think though, that you should have whatever makes you two feel best.

Donna's idea is great if you're at a church.  You could just stand outside and greet people as they leave.  Also there's a board on the knot with ceremony ideas and I think one for vows too.  You might find some good ideas there.
