Anyone have any good ideas of affordable hotel rooms for my out-of-town guests? I am also looking for a great place to get ready at and stay the night of my wedding. Thanks!

    Hotel Monteleone is cool and historic for a wedding night.

    i'm able to find really good deals at hotels just by searching online for my wedding weekend.  the sheraton on canal was $100, the marriott pere marquette was $89 and there was even a point when the royal sonesta was $99.  i would use a website like yapta.com or kayak to track the room rates and just told my guests who i felt were more comfortable in the bigger chain hotels as opposed to the smaller more historic french quarter hotels.  i think the visitors bureau is really helpful if you are looking into smaller hotels.

    I booked a room block at The Bienvile House and they were great to work wth. I also spent the entire weekend there, got dressed there (we stayed in the Iberville Suite), and spent my wedding night there. It was wonderful and the service was spectacular.
