Rant: I got my first "Unable to Attend" RSVP back a couple of days ago. And it makes me kinda bummed, because it's from someone I used to be really great friends with, but we've drifted apart the last few years. She didn't even write a reason of why she can't attend on the back, like most people would do.... I guess it's just a confirmation that our friendship isn't going anywhere and is at the end.

Rave: We have 39 confirmed guests so far, and so many of them have written really nice messages on the backs of the RSVP cards about how happy and excited they are for us.

Rave: On Saturday, FI and I are going out to celebrate a friend's birthday. And on Sunday, we're going to be celebrating MY birthday, and finishing up at the UW/Wazzu basketball game!!!! Go Dawgs!

Rant: Still waiting on FMIL to whittle down the guest list a little (her side is currently at 100 EEK!) and give us addresses. As soon as we get that done, we can FINALLY send out our STD's.

Rave: Going BM dress shopping tonight with both sisters (one is home from college for the weekend). I'm excited to hopefully find some dresses we like and have a little girl time!

Rave!!!!!!!: About 45 minutes ago I finished and submitted my final paper for the quarter! Which means I am now homework/school free for the next four weeks and I am soooo excited! I have been working on that paper for the last 5 days and have been staying up til like 3-4 in the am every night! FI has been irritated because he has been having to go to sleep alone and practically sleep alone all night. I don't think I've even had a real conversation with him since last Friday. I can't wait to get as much kinmir and FI time in as possible over the next four weeks! .....and get tons of DIY done......ANDDDDD an engagement photo shoot!

......I don't have a rant because I am too excited about my upcoming freedom!

On that note, my boss abbreviated Standard with STD yesterday, I think I would have been more shocked had I not been used to seeing it as an abbreviating for Save the Dates

I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out! I had a similiar moment yesterday when I told some coworkers that I was "Doing 5 Guys for dinner" uhmmm yeah, I didn't understand all the awkward stares until someone told me I shouldn't have phrased it that way........... :\ super embarrassed after that one!

Rant: When the IT guy shows up to look at the scanner it magically starts working. I swear, I wasn't making it up, that scanner is pure evil.

Rave: One of my FI's good work friends had twins a few weeks ago. So I am going to cook them some yummy chili, and head over there this weekend to hang out with some babies while they enjoy a meal to themselves. FI is really awkward and uncomfortable around babies, so we thought he could use some practice, even my dad said so. hehe also, FI and I started talking about me getting a track car. I doubt it will be able to compete with his M3 but I'm really excited to get that going now

Rant: There was no snow. I was seriously looking forward to some snow where it comes in drifts above your head and you feel all cozy inside.

Rave: It's finally the weekend and our invitation suite is going to go off to be printed sometime next week~.

mgoss - sorry to hear about your once friend. I've been through that and it's way hard.

Rant: RSVPs! They are due today and we have yet to hear from 45 people! What is the deal. We've also had a lot of declines but all for good reasons so I can't complain about that. I'm just frustrated we have to track down so many replies.

Rave: My dress fits! Or at least it's close to fitting. I was worried I might have to get a new one because it was almost a size too small. I've been working hard though and when I had my first fitting recently it turns it fits. Some other alterations are in progress but I can't wait to have the final product.

Dreamwinds--I totally agree about the snow. I was REALLY hoping for a snow day. I am in Seattle and we got like 1/2 an inch, and I was soooo jealous everyone around us was getting it but we weren't!

Rant: Work. Still don't know if we will get furloughed or not if the budget isn't passed. And no back pay expected so another hit to the wedding budget is looming (and I hate the looming part!).

Rave: My package with my (hopefully it's the "one") wedding dress was finally delivered! I can't wait to get home and try it one!!!

Extra rave if the weather cooperates: my niece is visiting her mom in Long Beach with her 3-1/2 week old son. If the weather is my friend on Sunday we'll go down to see them!

Rant: I'm getting anxious not having a guest list even close to being done. FI got his wisdom tooth removed last week, and it end up getting infected - which means he didn't work for 6 days. I have asked him (nicely) every day to make me a list of his family and any guests I might be forgetting, and he hasn't even started. I'm just irritated because he was the one so gung ho about this wedding business as well as talking me into doing it in 5 months, and he wont help.

Rave: It's been a great two days. Got my venue secured, bought a new desk for my home office so I can use my current huge one for wedding stuff, and got my tax return! Woohoo!

Rant: My FI threw out his back at work today and is a total GROUCH! He went to the chiropractor but the dr said he had to leave and will give him answers on monday! Ugh! Guys can be such babies and I know I'm in for a looonnnngggg weekend.

Rave: I finished addressing all of my STD's and they're being mailed out tomorrow! Plus I had a great day out with one of my good friends/bm

Woops I was actually (gasp!) too busy to come on TK yesterday! Oh well I still want to rant/rave....

Rave: I got my hair done for the first time in 7 months and I feel fabulous!

Rant: FI went to the tavern down the road and brought friends back to our place after I had already gone to bed. They stayed up drunkenly, loudly talking until 2am. I was too embarrased to come downstiars in my pj's to tell them to leave, because they're my friends too.
