Bridesmaids gifts advice, and a bouquet charm question

*sorry if this gets posted twice, it wasn't showing up plus I forgot to put a poll in*

First off, I'm thinking of getting a frame for each of my bridesmaids.  These are the two that I'm debating between:

http://weddingshop.theknot.com/friends-frame.aspx

and

http://weddingshop.theknot.com/personalized-bridesmaid-frame.aspx

Also, they can be personalized and I was thinking of putting my name and theirs underneath, not sure what kind of other message.  But then I thought that might look weird?  Not sure.

In addition to the frames, I also have for each of them a wine glass, bottle of wine, sea glass pendant (not to wear at the wedding), and hand cream and a nail buffer.  I think the frame might be the perfect addition, I just have to decide which one.

And next, the bouquet charm - I think people here have said they're having one, where did you get them?  I want to carry a photo of my dad with me that day since he can't be with me.  I had been looking at a place that lasers a photo onto the interior of a locket and wearing that on a bracelet, but with everything added it comes up to $85 before shipping and I just don't think I can swing that.  So I was thinking of a bouquet charm but I can't seem to find one I like.

thanks in advance!

  • I prefer frame two but I'm not a big fan of the personalization. I would purchase without it. If you want to put something personal maybe you could just write a note on the back? That would be more meaningful to me.

I'm not doing a bouquet charm so I can't help you there. Sorry!

  • I said #1 because it looked fancier and was like $20 cheaper. no brainer to me lol. I would probably skip ther personalization.

I got my bouquet charms off of Amazon. These are the exact ones I got (although not from this site)

I have to admit I was a little diappointed by the size though. They were a little smaller than I would have prefered. They are like from the tip of my finger to my first knuckle. And about as wide as my finger. I did like that they came with a little plastic shielf for the photo however. And the picture didn't have to be set with resin or anything just slip it in!
  • I got my photo frame charm at Joann's in the jewelry section for my Dad's photo. It's a nice size and has little plastic protective sheets and you just slip the photo in. It was under $5. I had ordered a locket one from Hobby Lobby and it was too small to even be able to see the picture.
  • Thanks everyone!  I think I probably will go with the first one (although there is drama-llama brewing in regards to the bridesmaids, I will find out more tonight).  It's never a good sign when your friend writes you and wants to talk because of something the other two keep discussing and that she wants the only tears on my wedding day to be of joy.

    *sigh*

  • I got my bouquet charm from the link below for my bouquet and for my fiance's bout. I LOVED how they turned out. It takes about 7-10 days for her to make and she is from canada so shipping takes a bit longer. She is very sweet to work with also. http://www.etsy.com/listing/75202165/bouquet-charm-bridal-custom-photo
