Boston gal getting married in Southern NH--recommendations/reviews please!

Hi all!
I'm a Boston Knottie who's site fell through over the weekend, and we are now looking for comparable pricing, which led us to NH sites.
We are over the next two weeks looking at the following sites, and if anyone has any feedback, reviews and recommendations, I'd love to hear from you! Good, bad, ugly, anything, please share!
We are looking at Castleon, Brookstone and Granite Rose.
Thanks so much for your feedback and advice!

One of my BMs got married at Brookstone this past April.  Everything was beautiful and the food was good!  Jenn was the wedding coordinator and she was like superwoman!  I feel like Jenn might have left, though, so I'm not sure how the service is to date.  The grounds are gorgeous and the entire site is relatively new.  I thought their prices were very reasonable.

I remember having a prom at the Granite Rose years ago and I don't think much has changed decor-wise.  I still believe they have the early 90s pink and floral decor.  It was just too much for my eyes ;P

I'm getting married at the Granite Rose in August, and they have redecorated from the floral pink stuff.  It is now a neutral tan color.  It is so pretty there! FI and I can't wait for our garden wedding! Jenna has been great to work with and their packages include a lot.  Hope this helps!

Welcome! I've never been to any of the mentioned places, mostly because I'm not from around here and they weren't on my list to look at. But Brookstone is the newest one of the 3. But like the Granite Rose, not near any hotels. You'd have to go to Salem for a hotel.

    HTH, a little at-least.

I'm not getting married at any of those places, but if Atkinson Country Club never came into my life I would have gotten married at The Granite Rose.  Great packages, great price and nice grounds for picture taking.

I went with Castleton, because it was the best price and the best reviews food wise I've heard from tons of people.  I love that its on a pond because I really wanted a Boston wedding on the water.  But this will do just fine.

Granite Rose and Brookstone were way over my budget so I'm happy I found Castleton.

Dawn and Stephanie are amazing to work with.  Dawn actually is the owner and I love them both so far.  Stephanie is younger and very down to earth and very helpful and prompt with getting back to you.

I got married at Castleton on Oct. 2.  I can not say one bad thing about it.  The ladies that I worked with were incredible.  I dealt with Dawn prewedding....she is the one that runs the place...the owner's daughter.  She was always quick to answer my many many questions.  Rebecca was my DOC...she was amazing.  The venue was gorgeous and the picture opportunities were perfect.

As for the food.....it was absolutely delicious....people couldn't stop raving.  Our menu was as follows:

Cocktail hour (all based on 100)
    Cheese and cracker display
    Beef satay scewers
    spanakopita (spelling)
    mozzerella sticks

    Main Meal
choice of either Apple Cranberry chicken with veggies and roasted potatoes
                                                or
Roast Prime Rib with veggies and roasted potatoes

Also came with salad, bread, and a fruit dish

For dessert we added chocolate covered strawberries with our initial in white chocolate   along with french vanilla ice cream and strawberries with real cream

Strawberry garnish added to the champagne

For 90 people less that 6000 total including tax and tips

Like I said, it was perfect.  I can honestly say not one thing went wrong.  Not even a tiny issue.  I highly recommend them.

Only drawback with Castleton I have to add is that they don't offer all inclusive packages but it wasn't an issue for me because I knew the vendors I wanted to use and it actually ended up cheaper in the long run.  I liked having complete control and not being tied to a particular vendor

I am also getting married at the Castleton and it is gorgeous and reasonably priced. Dawn has been great to work with. Another place up in this area that may have openings depending on if you are ooking for a lasr minute date is Black Swan Country Club. It was formerly the Georgetown Country Club that went out of business. It has since been purchased and renovated and because they just opened they have some openings. HTH. Good luck!

My aunt got married at Castleton and it was gorgeous. A friend of mine got married at Granite Rose and I thought it was awful. The food just wasnt very good to me, plus we were one of the last tables and it was cold.

I am getting married at Castleton as well.  The grounds are what got me! They are so beautiful. The prices are really great too.  As the other ladies have said, I have heard nothing but good reviews from people and the staff have been fantastic!!

Several people have mentioned it but you should really check out Promises To Keep.  Its in the same area and price range.  Their gardens are beautiful and the people there are wonderful to work with.
