    I'm only a lurker on this board, but I seriously doubt that OOT was banned, especially since Irish defended her in that ridiculous virgincita thread.

    no silly!  I'm not banned.

    Everyone has a right to express their opinions on this and all other boards unless they are harassing another person.

    I stated an opinion and I have no intention of going back on it or deleting the post.

    btw, you can telll if someone is banned by clicking on their bio.

    Irish is around enough to know what's going on here.  If she thought that I was harassing someone, she would have PMed me or emailed me.

    Only a newbie (like someone with 13 posts) would think that reporting me for stating an opinion, would get me banned.

    What does a banned person's bio look like?  A big giant X through it?  The red circle with a slash through it?

    the ones I have seen just say that the member is temporarily unavailable.

    I don't think I've seen one permanently banned though

    oh, good.  i have no idea how the banning process works.  i didnt know if you automatically got banned after X "reports" or what have you.  the odd thing with that thread was the person demanding we all ban you - ive never seen them here before.  anywho.

    makes sense.

    anyway, glad you werent banished to knottie prison.   you and i arent exactly the tightest of posters, but i still dont believe in people getting banned because they rub someone the wrong way.

    I lurk every once in awhile. I tried to get switched as mod awhle back since I know I'm not around much, but it looks like i"m here to stay. I'm going to make an effort to not just lurk and to post more.

    I'm baaaack ;)


    Oh, and it honestly takes a fair amount to get banned. There are specific offenses and I just don't think that OOT violated any of those specific offenses. If I did, I would take it to the mod board and let the knot Gods make that decision. We as mods don't make the call. We just make suggestions/bring things to the attention of the knot gods.

    Reporting doesn't really do anything.
