Table Number Options

So I'm thinking I want antiqued looking mirrors on the end of the tables & use red lipstick to write the table number on. Or using antiqued picture frames with a doily & button numbers. What are you ladies doing for table numbers? Can you show me a picture?

or I just thought re-labeling champagne bottles with a number. That way its already there for toasting!?

I like the Champagne bottle idea.

I'm not a fan of the lipstick on a mirror, I'd be concerned about it rubbing off on your guests or on linens.

We are on the same page today! I'd be worried that the lipstick would smudge on something to the point where you would no longer be able to decipher the numbers.

I think you could do either. If you use the lipstick idea I'd wait to write the numbers until you set them out so they won't smudge on anything. If your guests don't mess with the numbers I don't think there should be a problem with it rubbing off on them.

Maybe there is a way to use red paint that looks like lipstick, but it would be dry so you wouldn't have to worry about smudging.

I don't personally like the lipstick idea for some reason. It just seems to sexy or saucy for a wedding, imo! haha Maybe I'm picturing it completely wrong though!
I like the champagne bottle idea. I've seen several cute things on Pinterest, whether it just be a new label printed with the number, a little hanging sign on them or a bag over the bottle with the number painted on them

I like the idea of writing on the mirror, but I do agree I would be worried about it rubbing off on the table linens or other guests.
Our table numbers will actually be years, so for instance our table will start at 1983 since that was the year we were born. Each year will have photos of us going up to 2003, since were having 20 tables. Were scanning the pictures so we can adjust the size to 4x6, putting the pictures on card stock and then will be "framing" it with a coordinating color and the pictures will rest on a small black book easle. I saw the idea on a friend of a friends blog, so I'm borrowing her idea.
