I have a date and a venue!!!! YAY

Hi Guys, I'm a little newer to the website but had to share my news with someone :)

I put the desposit down on my venue and have my date... November 26th!! YAY

I am sooo happy with my venue, especially on a more of a budget wedding. I found Inside the Bungalow in downtown Mesa. After a month of researching venues and looking at prices I could not believe how affordable and perfect it was for what I wanted. I went to an open house and fell in love. I wanted a very cozy outdoor wedding/reception. There will only be about 50-75 people because all of my family is international and won't really be able to come and all my fiances family is out of state. It is this cute 1916 Bungalow with a gorgeous brick courtyard, covered gazebo, fountains etc... I LOVE it!!!!! The Mother and Daughter who run it were so friendly and helpful....

So 294 days to go... lots of planning :)

    Cake tasting is the best part!!  Loved it!

    You have plenty of time...  just focus on one or a few things at a time and go right down the list, and you'll be done before you know it!  =)

    Well the cake testing was kind of disappointing, I won't get getting a cake from her... she was nice... but cake is important to me because I am a decorator myself and I need to find exactly what I want and high quality otherwise I will probably convince myself to make my own wedding cake.... and thats too much work for a bride. I have some more places lined up to go try.

    I would highly rec that you at least have a tasting with Piece of Cake Desserts....  they were the absolute best tasting cake that we found, and we did quite a few tastings.  The owners are amazing there too!

    I have an appt with Amy at Piece of Cake next week :)

    I am also working on appt's with a few cake decorators I have liked via websites etc... I know I will find my cake.

    Congrats!!! We just made the our big decision to get married last week. I just started looking at venues and I'm already so overwhelmed at all the decisions, and realizing the high cost of a wedding. We are on a tight budget and finding a venue has been hard. So you are well on your way on creating your perfect day! Hope all goes well for you. Best of Luck. Keep us posted :)

    Hi Darlene! I'm getting married at Inside the Bungalow on 11/6/11. Who are you using for a caterer from their list? I think we are going to go with Heavenly Scent as they are the most affordable.

    I agree that Carrie and Betty are very nice...I just wish they were a litte more responsive to my e-mails. :(
