My wedding is at the Greentree in June. We love it and thought it was perfect for us. I knew I wanted a waterfront venue, and the Grand Ballroom is beautful. The owner is really sweet, my fiance and his family have known him since he was a baby. (Not the reason we picked it) we really loved it besides the fact that we knew him, we didn't feel pressured to choose it just because of that.
We attended the tasting and thought the food was great. They are having an event with vendors, food, cake, raffles....in March for booked brides, you have to get an invite though.

Have you visited yet? I'd say it's definitly worth it, and they will let you know about their next tasting. Honestly, not everywhere is for everyone, one person may LOVE the Greentree and another may hate it. That's perfectly fine. It's what YOU and your fiance want that's important and if you feel it's a perfect fit I think it's a great choice and you will find excellent reviews. You are definitly in good hands there.

Good luck, hope this helps. Let us know what you decide to go with.
Feel free to message me with any questions you may have.

Congrats- I was married in the smaller room last August!  We had about 150 and had a DJ.  We had a wonderful experience there.  Like Trish said you'll be in good hands.  Feel free to PM me as well if you have any questions or want some pics. GL

OMG I would love to see pictures. When we first saw the place we really wanted the grand ballroom but because we are only having about 150p they reccomended the smaller room. Me and my fiance are trying to get an idea of how it would be set up for our wedding so if you have pics that we can see that would be great.

Our wedding date is June 23 2012 can't wait!!

We are booked at the Greentree for our reception on October 8, 2011. I would definitely reccomend going to the tasting, not only do you get to try out their awesome food and cakes but you also get a chance to meet all of their preferred vendors.

Our reception was in the grandball room at the Greentree last March and I have to say it was everything (and then some) I hoped it would be.  Everyone we dealt with was amazing and helpful.   We lucked out with weather b/c the weekend before & after were horrible but they did a quick clean up as best they could.  We weren't able to go onto the beach but the made sure the back area was clean for outdoor pictures.

I have to say I didn't use any of the vendors that were at the tasting.  I have alot of friends who were married there too and didn't use any of those vendors either.

To this day everyone is still raving about the food and the music!
