NYC Venues: Hudson Terrace or The Park (meat packing restaurant) - ever attended or had a wedding th

Hi All!

I just got engaged and the family doesn't want to wait until Summer 2012, so I'm trying to plan a wedding and find a venue for Aug/Sept. 2011 (Sat. night).

Two places I like, which do still have availability, are Hudson Terrace and The Park (restaurant/bar in the meat packing district).

Has anyone ever attended a wedding  at either location or had a wedding there?  How was the set up, food, cost?  How did everything run?

I wasn't finding too much about weddings at these places while browing the internet.

    I have not been to either venue myself, but the Today Show did a wedding at Hudson Terrace this summer. Their website has some more shots of how it can be decorated, etc. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/39419639/

    I have to say I went to the Park for dinner once and it was just TERRIBLE.  The service, the food, the manager had a complete awful attitude etc etc.  I have to say the place is really nice looking but ick the service and food was no good.  Maybe it'd be different for a wedding, but I'd be cautious and eat there first.

    I went to The Park for a wedding, and thought it was a beautiful venue with great food, and a great outdoorsy atmosphere.

    I tried to have my wedding at The Park and they were just awful about following up. Literally promising me I would get information on a particular day and then completely forgetting about it. Disaster.

    Beautiful space but might not be worth it for the headache. Would be curious to hear where you end up.
