For people doing Cupcakes--WARNING!! (LONG)

Hey Ladies,
I know there has already been some talk about NY Cupcakes, but I wanted to share my experience with them as trying to book them as my vendor, so no one else wastes their time.
We made an appointment today to book them as a vendor.  When we arrived no one was aware of our appointment  and they had no information on us at all, eventhough we had done a tasting two month previous and they said they had secured our date.  The girl who helped us really tried to, but didn't have enough training to do a wedding order.  We left our appointment not confident and not happy about using NY Cupcakes as our vendor.
I'm not even sure why they had a schedule an appointment because it was just fill this our and pay us! Ugh it's too bad their cupcakes are so good,  but all the reviews are correct thier customer service is awful!! For anyone considering them I would not waste your time, we literally wasted 45mins today on our 'appointment' and left still looking for cupcake vendor!! AHHHH!!!!! Good thing we have plenty of time to shop around for a quality vendor!

    Seriously! I agree! They have great cupcakes, but their customer service is out-of-this-world awful. They shorted me on my cupcake order for my engagement party, then didn't want to refund me for the missing cupcakes. Then they also told me that my venue is too far away (it's in Mt Vernon) and that they wouldnt be able to accomodate my order (which was already placed) for my wedding. UNbelievable. Seriously, we just went to a tasting at The Confectional at Pike Place, they have AMAZING cheesecakes (mini's) that are about the same price as ordering 3 mini's from NY Cupcakes... Serioulsy, if you're still looking for a baker, consider The Confectional. WAY better customer service, and less hassle.
