Low Budget Venue in Central AL!?

I am looking for a low budget venue, preferably outdoors, for both wedding AND reception. Problem is finding a place that fits the bill and doesn't rush off the guests after 4 hours.... we want to be able to enjoy our day and not have to worry about a strict time limit.

I have been on a very low budget for my wedding and wanted an outdoor site, as well. It isn't exactly in central AL, but I highly recommend Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman. It is $1500 for the entire day. They offer ceremonies in front of the manor, in the pavilion, in the chapel, etc. They book way in advance so you should check them out asap. Their website is www.stonebridgewedding.com; however, the website does not do them justice.

If you're in the Cullman area check out both St. Bernard's monastery and Sacred Heart Convent. There are lovely grounds at both.

In Birmingham try Botanical Gardens and Aldridge Gardens.  Aldridge Gardens is actually having a photography event this Sunday, so you would be able to check out the venue and possibly check out photographers as well.

Yeah same here! I've found a really cute house in Helena called Magnolia Springs Manor, it can be both indoor and outdoor, really cute!! Around $1800 I'm also still looking for an outdoor venue!

You can get married at the Wetumpka Civic Center for $700.00. That rents the whole building from 8am to midnight. It is right beside a park so you could get married at the park and then go to the civic center for your reception.

<div>I second this.  I'm from Cullman and if his family was closer and Cullman was an option, that's where I'd start.  You might also consider looking for lake rentals.  I went to a wedding at a rented house on Smith Lake a few years ago and it was BEAUTIFUL.</div>
