Is anyone else doing a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift for FI? Mine is tomorrow at 10:00 and I'm beyond nervous. I don't think of myself as "sexy", this is way out of my comfort zone, which is why I'm hoping it will be the perfect gift. I have a bunch of little things to get together, but I can't do any of them tonight because FI is home, so I'll be up early ironing, etc. to get ready for the shoot. For those ladies who have done boudoir, how was your experience? Any suggestions?

I don't have any good advice, but I'm having them done next month. I'm so nervous too. I've never thought of myself as sexy before either but FI has always asked for "pictures" so he must see something he likes. When you get done, please let us know how it goes! I'd love to hear any tips too! Good luck!

I mentioned something about this to FI and he was not at all interested! He said it was weird to have pics when he has me right there and for me to be getting half naked in front of a stranger....

I think they'd be kind of fun! Good luck and relax! Have a few glasses of wine with breakfast!

I haven't done these, but I know women that have. You may not think that you are sexy, but I promise you that he does! Relax, enjoy the time focus'd on you, and enjoy that he will lve the surprise

I've done several photo shoots *both wtih and without clothing, lol!* The main thing to remember is to just RELAX. If you don't relax, the pictures will reflect it. Smile, laugh, and don't be afraid to show some personality. These pictures are not like regular pictures- the only person who will see them is your FI, and he'll love them no matter what.

Deep breathing is good, and bring some music to have in the background, it can help keep you calm.

My FI isn't interested in them at all. Plus I couldn't do them. I can't see my self getting naked for someone to take pictures of me. I would also be too nervous that they would fall into the wrong hands. I have heard horror stories of the CD's getting lost in the mail, etc.

I've seriously considered doing it! I love the idea of it, but I'm currently still working on losing weight, and I don't want to buy sexy lingerie before I'm to my ideal size. I might do it for Christmas or an anniversary so I can be 100% happy. Have fun, let us know how it goes!!! I definitely want to one day.

Mine are scheduled for early Sept. I'm already nervous! haha Thanks for the tips Rockstar! I scheduled mine for a Friday at 3 (so I could check into a hotel since she doesn't have a studio and FI won't know), so I think that will be early enough to have a glass or two of wine! ha I mentioned them to my FSIL, because they are coming into town for my shower the next day, so I was going to offer them the room so it's not a complete waste and she was really excited for me. She said, I wish I had done that before having babies! haha Ultimately I know FI will love them, it doesn't make me feel any more relaxed about it! Come back and tell us how it goes!!

I keep seeing Groupons for them in NYC, but I feel icky about having a stranger take those kind of pictures (even though my FI would totally love them).

Luckily, my FI is a photographer/videographer, so we've found a way around it that's fun for both of us

I haven't done it yet, but I plan on doing it after the wedding at some point. You don't have to get naked for them. I plan on rocking some seriously sexy corset. You only have to go as far as you're comfortable with.

My shoot is scheduled for next wednesday! Please please please let us know how it goes! I am sure it will be very fun, but ofcourse, that doesnt ease my nerves at all. I am having fun coming up with some fun outfits though! YAY us!
