Brief pout

Just got my eyebrows done. One is way too thin!!! So it's 2 thin eyebrows or look like I'm cocking my eyebrow all through the wedding.

This stinks

Re: Brief pout

  • Pencil it in and then add a little bit of pencil to the other one till they look about even? If you go get your makeup done professionally they may be able to make the illusion of even-ness so the pics still look fantastic!

  • No mua. I'll be taking on that battle alone. I'm going back tomorrow to have her even them out. I'm seriously OCD so all night I've had anxiety over this. I will get it fixed. But I did buy an eyebrow pencil so I will get to learn how to use it. If that's the worst mishap of the wedding I think I'm ahead.

  • Yes you should be able to add fullness with an eyebrow pencil and eyeshadow that matches your eyebrow color.

I'm OCD about this stuff, too, so I know exactly how you feel. It's maddening.

On the bright side, you're 4 posts away from BRONZE so keep posting!!! ;)
  • the eyebrow pencil will help fill it in. it's going to be okay!

  • I'm sorry, I had  to laugh. I had something similar happen to me the one and only time I had my eyebrows waxed. I have pretty bushy brows, which I never even considered until one of my friends kept going on about them. I eventually agreed to let her wax them. It turns out she took too much off. I didn't realize this at first, because she also did my makeup at the same time. That evening, I thought I looked great, but when I got home and washed the makeup off, about half my brows were missing. Seriously, I looked constantly surprised for about a month. At the time I was really mad, but now I think the incident was hilarious.

Makeup can most definitely cover eyebrow mishaps. I didn't even realize there was a problem until I washed the makeup off. And rest assured, your eyebrows will grow back.
  • I called the girl and she said she will even them out for me. I will use the eyebrow pencil to help (although I have fear I'll over do it and look like a drag queen haha). Again if this is my biggest worry I'm in a good spot. Happier note! Maurice's had a buy one get one free jewelry sale through tomorrow and I got new fun jewelry to ease my suffering. Plus I have a pair of pants to return and they are having 40 percent off sparkle shirts and pants/jeans. I get to shop after my ladies check up today. Happy thoughts!

Practice every day until the wedding :)  Ask for input from honest friends and family. Make sure you only go to people who will be honest with you, not people who will sugarcoat it and tell you it looks great regardless of what it actually looks like. Or post pics here and we can help as best we can.

I was thinking the same thing!  I'm so jealous of SweetRed!  What an exciting time to see everything come together!  :)

  • As a major eyebrow nut, please don't use a pencil to fill out the brow.  Use a powder.  Pencil should only be used to define messy lines.  The more pencil you use, the more clownish you look.  An angled brush + a powder (eyeshadow is fine, brow shadow is better) in the color of the hair is best.
