Bride walking alone, BM being escorted? Weird?

My dad passed away a few years ago so I'm planning to walk alone down the aisle. I really don't like the whole traditional 'give the bride away'' anyway. I like the idea of having the girls escorted by the groomsmen. I have 5 girls and 5 guys. I wonder if it will look weird for everyone to be escorted and then have me walk by myself. Has anyone seen this before?

It's not weird at all.

If you feel uncomfortable about it, which you shouldn't, you could ask your mom to walk down the aisle with you. Ask the officiant skip the "who gives this woman" part.

I don't think it would look weird. There's generally a pause and music starts before the bride walks down the isle, so there will be a noticable break between escorted couples and you. I wouldn't worry about it. On the way back down, you'll have an escort like everyone else.
