October 2012 Weddings

had my first wedding nightmare last night

and it scared the crap out of me!!  in my nightmare, we changed our wedding date to sept 28 instead of oct 28. all the vendors were okay with it and my dress was in early enough.  i went to pick it up and it was blue!!  they kept insisting i ordered it blue but it wasn't even the same dress i ordered.  i was so upset because i didn't have time to oder a new one and my only other option was to cut up my grandmas vintage lace dress.

i woke up in sheer terror.  thankfully it was just a really bad dream!

  • Ugh I hate these dreams!  I can never fall asleep afterwards because I found something in it i need to get done/worry about until it's done.

  • I hate wedding nightmares. When I have one it's generally that one of my major vendors has f-ed everything up and I'm running around screaming at people trying to fix it.

When that happens I generally avoid wedding stuff for a few days b/c I know i'm on overload at that point.

  • I've had two:

First one was that my neighbors had a huge yardsale the day of the wedding and the street was crazy with people and cars. Then I woke up that morning and they were having one. I have since confirmed that they won't do one on Columbus Day weekend!

Second one was that my dress was too wide to walk down the aisle alongside my son (it's a tiny, old chapel). I checked and it's more than wide enough to accommodate both of us. LOL

  • Oh wow! That definitely is a nightmare! I haven't had one in a while, but I'm sure I'll start having them in the next couple weeks when the stress really picks up!

  • I haven't had any wedding nightmares, but last night I did dream that I cut my hair short, which I would never do before the wedding because I have been growing it long specifically for the wedding.
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

  • I've had a few.  The weird thing is that the only things that go wrong are the things I haven't finished.  Like the last one I had was at some resort that had a casino and a drag queen show?  Idk why, but I didn't have any flowers or a way to get to the venue and I wasn't wearing make up/my hair wasn't done!   Thankfully in my dream my dad came to the rescue with the flowers (which he's helping me out with in real life) but he got the boys really cool orchid bouts and all of the girls had super ugly dried flowers.

I haven't had one in a couple weeks!  Thankfullly.
