Here are pictures from the bridal shower that I helped throw together in two weeks.
Burlap banner in the present opening area. I cut out the triangles...then FI stenciled the letters and SEWED the banner together. He's the best. Y'all. This looks to professional. He's a keeper.
Paper lanterns and poms over around the chandelier in the dining room. I think it turned out awesome looking!
Dessert area. My youngest female cousin made all these cupcakes!
Yummy fruit tart.
We had mason jars with pink and white striped paper straws for all the guests to drink out of.
For plate we used some of my grandma and great grandma's old dessert plates. I think they worked perfectly!
I framed their wedding invitation for the table.
The drink table. I ended up just writing out which drink was what, but if I had more time, I would have had printed our cute tent cards for the drinks and the food.
We had ice water, ginger ale with sliced strawberries (delish) and water with lemon, orange, and lime slices (delish).
Food table. There definitely was no shortage of food!! We had mini barbecue sandwiched with and without slaw (cousin made the barbecue), homemade pimento cheese and crackers, homemade chicken salad sandwiches, nuts, veggie platter, and cucumber sandwiches. Plus the three types of cupcakes and fruit tarts.
Toothpick flags I made at the last minute for the barbecue sandwiches and the cupcakes.
Overall I think it went really well. I just wish more people had showed up that we were planning on being there. We were expecting around 28 and only about 15 came.
