If anyone remembers a looong time ago, one of my first posts on this board was asking about first dance song ideas. At the time I said we had chosen "When I Say I Do" by Matthew West, but there was a line in it that bothered me. (He says, "there must be a God, I believe it's true cause I can see His love when I look at you"). I didn't like it because I was like "yea duh, of course there's a God" ... like as if he was doubting it until he met his wife or something. I don't know, it just bothered me. But I decided to look past that line because we loved the rest of the song, so we decided to use it. For some reason though it was still sort of on my mind and so today I decided to see if any other songs struck my fancy. I came across "Hold You Up" by Matthew West (which I had heard a handful of times before, but never really thought about using it). When I really listened to the words, I was like "this is it." I played it for my fiance and he agreed. So I guess I just wondered how you guys feel about that song... do you think it's a good first dance song? If you don't know it, here is a link:
