I've been searching high and low for an affordable hair salon in the Orleans/Eastham area. Thought I found the perfect one, but they're charging me a lot extra to open their salon on a Sunday. Unlike almost everyone else posting for hairstylists, I feel like I need to get ready in the salon. I don't have a private place to get ready where my family or my FI's family is staying, and the venue doesn't have a place for me to get ready either.
I thought it was going to work out, but I'm getting nervous I haven't found someone yet or had a trial yet, and I really wasn't looking to spend more than $250-300 absolute max for me and my two BM's. I know it's my wedding day and it's important for our hair to look good for pictures, but I can't see spending more on our hair than I did on my gown. (FI and I are footing 99% of the cost for our wedding.) If I absolutely had to (read: if the stylist was dirt cheap) I might force myself to get ready where my family is staying...
Can you ladies who had tight budgets let me know how you found affordable yet talented hairstylists, or any of you who are also getting married on a Sunday also tell me who you found to do your hair? For the rest of you, did you really spend close to this amount for the equivalent of you and two maids? Any direction would be phenomenal! TIA!
