Jackson Bands!

Hey all,

We are getting married next summer in Jackson Hole and are looking for a really good band to help ensure our guests dance all night long.  I've found a few local bands that sound pretty good, but I'm curious... anyone have a good band recommendation that you booked or are booking for your wedding?

Thanks!
Katie

lukicash@gmail.com - Miller Sisters and Mandatory Air (covers, R&B, dance music) I've been at a lot of events that they've played at and they're always a huge hit.

    www.onetonpig.net (bluegrass)

www.philround.com (Snake River Band - bluegrass, dance music, classic rock, modern pop, & jazz)

    HTH-good luck!

    Thanks folks!

Ginadog - We really love to dance to bluegrass, but our guests are not so into it the way we are.  So, we want a band that gets everyone dancing - we're thinking someone to play motown & funk/dance music.  We're considering Soul Impressions based on that.  However, I really want to have bluegrass/strings for ceremony music.  I plan on walking down the aisle to instrumental version of the Beatles (Here Comes the Sun - my parents did this when they got married 41 years ago).  Finding a band that could play at both the ceremony and the reception would be great, but not many bands cross genres like that!  I also really like Mandatory Air based on the videos they have included on their site.  Any recommendations/preferences for the type I mentioned?

Thanks for the help!  I'm actually headed to Jackson tonight to meet with vendors and get planning underway all weekend long!  Can't wait to get there!

Definitely call up the Miller Sisters/Mandatory Air in that case - you described them perfectly. <div>

Wow, I had an amazing time in Jackson, and talked with Mandatory Air.  Unfortunately, they are just out of our price range.  Have you ever seen the Bootleg Flyers?  They are the Miller Sister's 5-piece bluegrass and dance band.  We are looking into booking them instead of the 8-piece Mandatory Air...

I think anything the Miller Sisters are involved in is usually good. Those girls are born performers and always professional to work with from what I've heard. I have heard that Mandatory can be pricey to book.
