Super Checkster Weekend!!

I hit a lull on checks for a while, but now after this past weekend/week, I am feeling productive again!

Hotel block: done!  Hilton on France and 494.  They were so great to work with in getting this set up - great price (best in the area), beautiful hotel, and airport and wedding shuttle for free!  Plus we get a free Presidential suite as soon as we book 20 rooms!!  That will be so perfect for getting ready the day of :)

STDs: sent!  Minus 4 people that FI still needs to get addresses from, they are in the mail!!  PSA- I asked the post office about postage prices, and on April 17th, postcard prices are going up by 1 penny, and for regular mail the first ounce is staying the same price, and the second ounce is going up by 3 cents.

Website: complete!  All the wedding information is on our guest website at mywedding.com, and I tested out the online RSVP function - it works great!!

DOC: booked!!  So happy with this decision.  Our amazing florist, Suz, is going to be our DOC as well for a mere $200.  She'll come to the rehearsal to coordinate everything there, too!  Plus she basically is already helping me coordinate the rest of the wedding - we are meeting in a month to start talking about the little details that she says she's happy to help with!

Shuttle: booked!  We reserved Urban Express for a few hours in the afternoon to take the wedding party around for pictures in some fun locations, since we are getting married at a golf course and they have daytime restrictions about where on the property we can go.

Ceremony Musician: booked!  We wanted a classical guitarist to play during the wedding soooo badly, but could not justify the cost - some of the professionals around here want $400 for 45 minutes!!!  I ended up emailing the guitar professor at the U to see if he had any students who might be interested, and he recommended one that he knew would do a great job.  We talked to him, and he is happy to play for us for $150.

BM Dresses: order started!  I made a last minute decision to change the color to navy blue (from pewter gray).  Not 100% sure why, it just came to me last night and I think it will be lovely.  All the girls are measured and have started calling in their orders to the Wedding Shoppe.  I am very hopeful we won't have any isses with WS!!

Backup Wedding Shoes: bought!  Steve Madden clear jellys from DSW.  I have them in gray and they are ridiculously comfortable.  Plus they are so cute!!

Cupcake stands: bought!  From knottie Megan (can't remember her sn).  They are glass platters glued to candlestick holders - they were already connected with epoxy, but it had started to yellow so FI took them apart and cleaned the glue off.  We'll do some research before we glue them back together - any suggestions?

Whew!!  I seem to be very productive after I slack for a few weeks!  :)  I also had my second fitting with Louise today, and it was great!  The dress looks amazing, she has already worked wonders on it.  She is so wondeful, I can't say enough about how sweet she is!

Thanks for letting me gush!!!  It feels so so good to start checking more things off the list!!!
