vendor 2nd chance?

So what would you ladies do... We had an appointment with a DJ. We called to say we took a wrong turn and may be five minutes late. DJ responds confused, then realizes that he'd forgotten his appointment with us and had gone out of town that morning.

Do we give the dj a second chance? Or cut them loose? They are a preferred dj within our venue and we were happy with the pricing.

I think I would seek out more information about the DJ.  Are they a vendor that girls talk about on here a lot?  If not, maybe you could find reviews on another website?  If you read a lot of reviews and everyone else says that they are very reliable and all that stuff, then I would consider giving them a second chance.  If you can't get a good number of positive reviews, I'd move on.

What's your DJ budget like?  I'm sure the girls on here could help you find other options within your budget if you decide to look for another DJ.  I am using Tagas and they have been great thus far.  =)

Search more info about both DJs we might be able to help.

Ditto above - but also, how did he react? I totally understand people are human and mistakes happen, but it's all about damage control. We had an appointment with a very "reputable" caterer, who completely forgot our appointment. I would have been understanding except her receptionist couldn't get ahold of her (so we ended up leaving) & we NEVER recieved so much as a phone call appologizing or rescheduling! But if he seemed genuinely upset & appologetic I would definitely consider giving him a second chance. Good luck!!
