Invitation Wording

I know most of you already have your invites ordered and/or addressed, but I'm a little slow...I've changed the wording a few times in this invitation (my mom said I needed to add a phone number for RSVPs, not just the website, and suggested I add the date to RSVP by (it's on the website). As you can probably tell, it's a fairly casual wedding. I just feel like the last bit sounds a bit awkward--RSVP at our website? To? Via? Through?

Re: Invitation Wording

  • I would say "RSVP from our website" or "through our website."

I would also definitely add an RSVP date, if only because not everyone will go to the website to find out, and those who plan to do it by phone might still be calling you the day before the wedding.  Not putting a date on there leaves it very much open to interpretation - and on top of that, I think it's common for people to miss things or misread things online because we get more into the habit of skimming on the computer.  An invitation is something they'll refer back to and read carefully; a website, not so much.

  • You could say RSVP on our website. I need you think to add a phone number if not actual RSVPs you send especially for the older less tech savvy people
  • Cute invites! I would use "via our website" instead of on or at.
  • I like the idea of "via" or "through." Also, definitely include a phone number and reponse date. Cute cards!
