Bouquet Trial Run

After getting several flower quotes for ~$700 for a bridal bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 6 bouts, and 3 corsages, I've decided to DIY my flowers. I wasn't/am not looking for anything special. We're doing hydrangeas and roses, maybe a sprig of anemone if I can find a store that sells them by the stems.

I did a trial run this weekend -- I'm thinking of doing these for my BMs and a little larger for me. Our wedding is black and white with a hint of deep aqua, but my BMs will have the deep aqua dresses, so I think neutral is a good fit for the flowers. Thoughts?  Is it too "plain"?

(note -- ribbon wrap will be black, not red as depicted in pictures)

Re: Bouquet Trial Run

  • Wow, you did a great job! It looks beautiful! I think it would be perfect as is with the colour of the BM dresses, but you could add a little bit of colour into yours...
  • I think they look great but I agree with pp.  Since the BM will be in colorful dresses this coloring is great for them.  Adding in a little more color into yours (maybe keep the same flowers but add a colored rose or a deeper color hydrangea, nothing too bright) would look good.

  • I think it looks great.  If you wanted to wrap the stems in a coordinating black or turquoise, that would enhance your flowers.
  • I think that you did an amazing job!
