Need my fellow knottie forties to help me decide

Here is roughly what our tables will look like. Minus those flowers, adding a square mirror. Our Color is Royal Blue, we have a crystal cake topper, that has blue lights, and our back drop for the Head table has blue led up lighting.

Here are our vases exactly.

This is the look I like - adding about 3 inches of beads on the bottom, with a blue LED light, then the floating white orchids (minus the candle)

This is a look FI likes. (didn't have enough beads yet to do all 3)

Opinions?

I like the flowers much better. The beads look like the foundation for something, not a centerpiece in itself.

Heh. I voted for the flowers, but I can totally see why a guy would go with the other one. It's sort of techie...and non-floral!

But I like the bead/lights too. Is your other stuff softer and floral, or is it more...I don't know, linear? The square mirrors and the beads might be a nice set. And the reflection could be interesting. Or crazy-making, and everyone will be blue and smurfy in all your photos...??

No flowers anywhere else really. Like I mentioned, more of a lighted, modern feel.

I like the flowers, I think if every thing is very modern this might add a little softness to the look with out losing the modern feel.

The flowers help the vases have a etheral type of glow. The beads don't look bad at all but no where as nice and the flowers.

I like the flowers. It adds a softness and airyness. I agree with PP that the blue lights everywhere may make everyone smurflike.

Ok decision made. Clear gems on bottom with blue light, and submerged white orchid.

Is there any way you could do both? Do you have a bar area where you could use a few of the lighted vases to appease your fiance? They'd be appropriate in that type of area, but Iike your orchids much better for centerpieces.

lol you gals rock. He told me a few minutes ago "I don't care what we have, I just suggested something so you'd make up your damn mind" lol

I've changed my mind on centerpieces at least 10 times in the last 8 months, and we only have 2 weeks left.
