Hey everyone! I know I have been posting a lot on this board today,( I am basically on bed rest right now because I just had acl surgery last thursday) but this is random but just wondering if anyone has encountered being "attacked" or "bullied" here on TK?
I ask this because I am somewhat new on here, (I used to have another name..jen2013 but I wanted to change it and creating a new account was the only way.) but not specifically on this board but there is a particular board on TK where I find the same group of woman "attacking""bullying"  anyone who doesn't think or say what they want them to say or even newbies. On one post I posted my opinion saying nothing more than the comments previous said were rude and stated the rest of my opinion. Not only were they very cruel to the OP, but I was also the target. I was just seeing if anyone has seen or had any similar situations?
I find it really sad that there are people like that on here and it almost made me want to just disinvolve myself with the TK community completely but I do find and have got a lot of great advice on here.

    Honestly, I have been on the boards for almost 4 years. There are pleanty of boards that have regulars and are not as "welcoming." My advice... stick to a local board or your month board if the snarky comments bother you. If you do want to post on the national boards, lurke first. Get a feel for the boards before diving right in. 

    Just my advice.

    I've been on the boards for about 3 years now. The one thing I can say is "its just the internet". You will probably never meet more than half of these people. 
    and you will encounter a diverse group of people. Not everyone will like you, not everyone shares your same morals and beliefs-- so just take it with a grain of salt.
    Try to find a sense of humor in things as well, it helps when you dont take things so literally. If you dont want people's HONEST opinions on things, dont post about "advice" b/c somethings you just wont like.

    Hope you stay around though :) and I agee with PP about lurking first. It helps.

    i found the national TK board to be ridiculous - i stuck up for an OP once and was attacked for having my email address as my ID name. It's pretty pathetic.

    agree with sticking locally - i think b/c it feels a little less anonymous, people are generally more respectful/welcoming. the problem with the internet in general is that people use their anonymity to be inhumane to one another.
