To do order?

I see lots of bridal to do lists.  Like 6 months before do a, b and c.  But is there a list that tells you the order in which you need to do things? For example, I called a few venues and they always ask how many guests. So making a guest list and having a number actually comes before shopping for venues. Is there such a list of things in the order they need to be done?

  • YOu need to figure out a budget and guest list first.  Then look for ceremony location and reception space.  Usually next is wedding gown, photographer and DJ.  Then florist,  transporation and honeymoon.  This is just a general idea though.

  • You need to know your budget first, definitely. Then also have a close estimate of your guest list. I think it's good to also leave a little wiggle room for adding people on, people who may have a SO by the time of the wedding, etc. We had a guest list somewhat set and ended up with I think 15 more people from our initial estimate, but we'd definitely booked a venue able to accomodate that and within our budget to accomodate that.
