Hilliard Florist – Ceremony and Reception
The flowers we ordered turned out sooooo beautiful and I’m so glad we used them for our flowers. When getting quotes we spoke to 2 places and both quoted us the same amount for what we wanted and was significantly less than what we thought we would need to spend (I had no clue how much flowers would cost). My flowers were mostly cream and light pink roses with green berries and broccoli looking flower. The bridesmaids and centerpieces were got colorful flowers to bring color to our black and white table overlays. The centerpieces were placed in a plastic bowl inside the fancier glass bowls so that guests could take them home and enjoy instead of getting thrown away; it was Hilliard’s idea and didn’t charge us any extra.

Girls in White Dresses – Bridesmaids Dresses
I had 5 bridesmaids and one was almost 9 months pregnant. I made and appointment with Courtney and we picked out 4 dresses for them to try on that I preapproved from Alfred Angelo in the same fabric (one came in a maternity version so that was already decided for my pregnant bm). I was very up front with all of them that they might not be in their favorite dress and depended on how many bridesmaids liked each dress and what they did/didn’t feel comfortable in. All 4 of the other bridesmaids ended up loving one dress which worked perfect because it was my favorite too. We ended up putting 3 bridesmaids in my favorite dress and 2 in the other dress (1 regular version, 1 maternity). FYI for anyone else doing this, some of my older guests thought since one bm was in the same dress as my obviously pregnant bm she was also pregnant and was asked several times when she was due. Girls in White Dresses were great to work with and didn’t mind that it took 3 appointments to get everyone sized. Only one dress came in way too big, but she might have lost weight in between ordering and when they came in.
President Tuxedo – Men’s Wear
We got tuxedos for my husband, groomsmen, dads, ushers and ring bearer. They were competitively priced with the other tux rentals around Columbus. I “won” an online contest (I’m not sure if everyone wins to get you in the store so that’s why I say “won”) for free vests for all our rentals so that saved the all the guys probably $10 since we did pick out one of the more expensive tuxes. Also since we had 10 rentals and they weren’t running any deals at that time and their competitors were, I was able to talk them into a free suit for my husband after the wedding (when you turn in your tux you can pick it up). Some of the tuxedos came in on Wednesday, so people could pick them up earlier if they wanted but everyone was sized correctly and no one had any adjustments that needed made. This is one of the items I was most concerned about since I’ve heard some horror stories about Men’s Warehouse, and I’m glad we ended up using someone else because it went perfect.
