Sandals Regency St Lucia

Has anyone spent their honeymoon here and how was it? ! Can't afford the Grande!  Any suggestions for worthwhile excursions? Restaurant recommendations? How is  July weather in St Lucia, just like any other Caribbean island?
Thanks so much!

I've stayed at all 3 Sandals resorts in St. Lucia.  The Regency is beautiful!  Actually my favorite restaurant is at the Regency...La Toc (French).
The full day catamaran excursion is fantastic.  If you want to see my pictures or have any questions you can email me  tvlreen@mac.com  hth

We stayed at the Regency - loved it.  The weather is perfect most of the year.  We loved the restaurant The Pier -get there early!  La Toc the French restaurant was amazing, make a reservation right when you check in.
We did so many excusions, one of her favorites was zip line.  DON"T do the bicycle tour, it was horrbile!!

We stayed at the Regency just last month and it was AMAZING!!! However, if you go on TripAdvisor you'll find some negative reviews.  This leads me to believe that they may have stayed at the main resort.  We stayed up on the Bluffs.  Yes, it's a little more pricy but soooo worth it.  If you have a little extra money to spare I urge you to get a Butler room on the Bluffs.  You will LOVE it!! The main resort is a little more crowded and not as romantic.  The pool is crowded and it's more of a party atmosphere.  On the bluffs, it's so romantic, you have butler service and it's everything that you could've imagined your honeymoon would be.

They did just get hit by Hurricane Tomas but they haven't gotten major damage since the 80's.  I love love loved St. Lucia and would go back in a second! I also heard that most people prefer the Regency over the Grande for their honeymoon.  The whole place is practically honeymooners.

We did the zip line and the land & sea tour.  Both were great excursions.

Good luck and stay on the bluffs, it's just amazing!

About how much more pricey is it to stay on the bluffs vs. the main resort area?

I'm not exactly sure...you'd need to price it out.  But, overall we paid $7,945 including airfare for 8 nights.  It just adds that extra little something to really make you feel like you're on your honeymoon and it's super special.  I mean, when will you have a Butler again? Probably never!
