NWR- nicknames!

There' a new employee in my office named Kelly and that reminded me how a classmate in high school called me Kelly (my name is christina)...I liked a band named Hello Kelly and would often wear thier band shirts so this classmate called me Kelly.

Anyone else have other funny nicknames and care to explain?

I've also answerd to: Gween, Weiner, Choochi Bear, Boo and Sweetie (best friend calls me Boo and gpa calls me Sweetie).

Re: NWR- nicknames!

  • My nickname has been "Bird" "Birdie", "Little Bird" or "LB". I was a preemie, and everyone thought that, when I was born, I looked like a baby bird.

    FI calls me squirrel.

Hah! And here I thought I was the only one. FI refers to me as squirrel...probably more than he uses my real name, LOL. It's been a nickname of mine since before I met him, though.

I am nicknamed PoohBear by my family...

My dads side of the family is british and his name is Christopher-Robin (for real lol) (not only is Christopher -Robin known for being A.A.milnes son, he was also a war hero apparently)

and when I was born we had a cat named Tigger apparently ... I was there for dubbed missy-pooh-bear (my real name being Melissa)...  (although my obsession is with EEYORE ) lol

I still answer to Pooh lol... it is a bit weird when we go to visit my dads old church because people there call me Pooh BEAR LOL...

Simplest nickname is Mel... instead of Melissa or at work they call me Gibson lol (Mel Gibson) 'cause there is another MEL there...

Thomas (FI) calls me his Schmoopsie Pooh... and he is my Googly bear :D I think we will forgo those names for the wedding however :D hehe
  • I got really intoxicated one night and was mooning people out a cab window.  My friends started calling me Molly Mooner, it stuck for many years.

  • This has been fun to read through! I didn't ever really have nicknames. When i started High School, I was in a fist fight with Hank Daniels - and a couple of guys (and my Dad!) called me Rocky for a short spell. There were some dorks in music with me that called me Pinata.

When I left my ex, I was realllllly defensive and only wanted to be called Mendi. Lots of online conversations, so it was huge to me to be M-e-n-d-i not M-i-n-d-y, not b-a-b-e, not s-e-x-y ... FI usually calls me Mendi, but it doesn't upset me when he uses an occasional term of endearment. I'm ok with that.

  • I used to change my name as a child...the one I changed it to most often was "Rose Teabags" hahaha. Not sure where that came from. I've also gone by JJ, Jen, and Jenni. Most often I'm Jennifer, though.

With FI, we call each other Facey or Facey Pants. When we first started dating, he'd occasionally just say, "Hey, you with the face" and it just kind of evolved into our nickname for each other! I call him David more often than he calls me Jennifer, but it does happen occasionally. lol. I joke that he's called me Jennifer less than 20 times in almost six years :P

  • Fi calls me his sweet thing and I call him my hot stuff. :)

I have a friend that always calls me Kat-Kat. She left me a voicemail the other day, and I could just hear in my mind that she was going to start it with "hey Kat-Kat" and started laughing when I listened to it because she did! I also have several friends that call me Kitty-Kat which I think is cute, but I hate being called Kit-Kat so I always object to that one.
