I am interested in having my wedding at Lingrow Farm in Leechburg, pa.. I was curious if anyone has had their wedding there? I am wondering about the price of it all because we have a budget. If anyone could help me out that'd be great!! - Lindsey

hopefully someone will chime in with the actual pricing, but it is a pricier venue from what I've heard.  Armstrong Farms is cheaper than Lingrow (but still pricey).  If you're on a budget, the Mayernik Center might give you the same feel for a better price.

Lingrow is really expensive, to me at least. Armstrong Farms is also pretty pricey. I'm think the rental fee for Armstrong Farms is in the neighborhood of $6K. I'm pretty sure it includes accomodations for the weekend and few other things. And you can bring your own caterer. I don't know exact pricing for Lingrow, but it's similar to Armstrong Farms. If you are interested in Armstrong Farms, try paging Y I Oughta. She just got married there a few weeks ago. I don't know any recent Knotties who got married at Lingrow.

    Good luck!

yeah, I liked Lingrow too but I thought it was way too expensive to have it for just one day.  I'm getting married at Armstrong Farms.  We have the renovated barn (Fieldstone with a/c or heat) and they quoted us at 7,000 (they have 2 other barns that are cheaper but they shut them down after labor day I believe due to weather.  There is not heating or cooling in the other 2 barns).  It does seem pretty pricey but I thought it would be worth it because: the location is beautiful, you can do your own decorations, they provided tables and chairs, different options for ceremony, my fiance, myself and up to 18 more people can stay for the weekend, bonfires, bring in own caterer (however, must be a full service caterer) and alcohol, good places for photos and you can get a horse and carriage up there too, you have it from Fri afternoon until Sun afternoon (I believe), breakfast is provided for you and your guests the day after the wedding, holds up to 120 (10.00 per extra person after that) and everything is in the same place.  We are having a fall rustic wedding and this place completely fits the bill and kinda steps away from the cookie cutter, everything looks the same as the last wedding I went to thing.  However, I do hear Nancy (the lady the runs the joint) is kind of a pain to get a hold of and I don't hear much about her being around the day of the wedding like they say the will so I'm getting a day of coordinator just to be sure someone will be there to help.  Other than that, there's a few logicial rules and stipulations, but for the most part, the place is pretty much yours for the weekend.  Just thought I'd let ya know what I know but YIOughta could definately tell ya more...she has vender reviews up for her wedding and she did give Armstrong a pretty good rating so you may want to check it out.  Sorry so long, but hope this helps!

HI, I did do Armstrong Farms, Westminster Preserve. Our price for the barn and weekend stay for around 20 people was around $6000. That included 100 wedding guests, the rehearsal dinner site is there as well as the ceremony site options. Over 100 people at that price is $10 per. It includes the table and chairs, $ bedroom house with 2-3 beds per room and the love cottage for the Bride and Groom. We also had her throw in a room at the Inn in town, which saved another $250. We had a bonfire at the end of the reception for anyone that wanted to stay and have fun after the music and bar shut down at 11. PM me if you need any more info

Lingrow Farm is not pricey.! Especially for what you get; so much is included, and one major bonus is that the barn is air conditioned...unlike any other barn in the area.  Not only that, but the staff, as well as the owner are super accomidating.  Lingrow is doing their own catering now.  The Chef is top notch, they're using local ingredients, and I think you can get a nice buffet for around $18...sit down is only a few dollars more.  I've eaten at the last restaurant the Chef worked at, and the food was absolutely amazing.  In my opinion, Lingrow Farm is unbeatable.

Fieldstone Barn at Armstrong is air conditioned as well. Also, the rental fee for Lingrow is around $8000 for one day, which is pricey for some people.

Gotcha.  I've been at events for both, and I've found happier brides and guests at Lingrow.  Just my opinion.  I wouldn't rule Lingrow out.  It's worth a visit.

I just had my wedding at lingrow. At over 8k plus additional charges for the farmhouse and the horse and carriage, I feel it's pricey, but not unreasonably so when compared to other vendors- and we did have a beautiful day.
