Ceremony Check

Church and officiant - check!!
I was very afraid that I could not find one to perform a Christian ceremony like we want, but thanks Jesus, he called me today and we made the final arrangements.
Now I just have to look for a Wedding planner to make sure things will be done like we envisioned in the reception and in the ceremony as well.

Please check with your local board for reputable wedding planners, I saw a thing on Dr. Phil yesterday about  this couple hired a con artist that was posing as a wedding planner, she ripped them off for for 30K. Then they had to pay all the vendors at an additional 20K.

We hired a videographer who hasn't delivered final product to us and I have found 12 other couples he did the same thing to. He came out and shot video all day, collected our money cashed our checks, that's the last I heard from him.
He wont' answer any of our emails or phone calls.

We know he's still doing weddings in the chgo area, for brides on our board, we have warned them, but he sent an appology e mail to them, yes future brides, but not us, past brides who are waiting. Many of the future brides are staying with him, "because his e mail was so sincere".

We will probably have to file suit to get our video.

I also hired an internet co to make my dress. That turned out very bad too.
Please be careful out there, many try to ripp off brides.

OMG that's terrible! I hope you can get your video Alpha. If you can give up their name for us, it could be helpful even in a private message. Because I am getting married in a very small city, FI's hometown, I am taking most of the professionals that are already very known around and that have served his family in many wedding as well.
But I am thinking about to order my gown from an internet company and would appreciate to know the name of the one that didn't work well to avoid it.
Thanks for the heads up girls!

OMGOODNESS HBSTONE DO NOT ORDER your gown from an internet provider!!!!

I as well had a horrible experience with an internet provider for my gown. The gown was trash. She said she would refund my money and when I inquired about the refund, she stopped communicating with me. Refused my refund. I sued and won in court but she refuses to pay me. So now I have to spend more money to collect what she ows me.
That was GIOAVONNI;s BRIDAL in Antioch TN. DO NOT USE THIS CO.

The videographer is SHOOT THE BRIDE FILMS in the Chicagoland area, highly recommended by many Chicago brides. He ended up ripping everyone off.

RETREAD: Although I had contracts with all, when it comes down to it, it is very hard to collect money on small claims lawsuite. The judge told me in court "good luck collecting" ......

That doesn't mean you shouldn't have a contract, because that is your legal protection, the consumer usually gets the short end of the stick in the end of a lawsuit anyway because you have to pay court costs up front.

Do your homework ahead of time, get references and call them and ask lots of questions.

The internet site that I am using has been used successfully by at least other three brides that had a great service and was highly recommended (I think it's a Chinese company). I will get the dress a lot in advance to avoid any bad possibility Alpha. I saw your posts about this places and was so sorry for this happens in your wedding. Thanks for the heads up, I will remember this and I am getting wedding insurance as well, just to be on the safe side.
