Candy Buffet Question

Hi Ladies!

We are planning on doing a candy buffet for our wedding in October and I was wondering if anyone had any idea of you were supposed to determine how much candy to buy. I think we are going to do 8-10 types of candy and we will have about 150 people.

Any other advice you have about a candy buffet is welcome. This is the one thing that is making me a little nutty.

Thanks in advance!

I estimated 1/2 pound of candy for each guest because that was the size of our containers. I went to BJ's and got all of my candy there and the guests raved about it. I would figure out how large your containers are and then go from there. I ended up with 90lbs of candy and not much left over from my 155 person wedding! We had originally invited 180 so that it why I purchased 90 lbs. Good luck!

I did a Retro candy station for my daughter's wedding in July and it came out great. I made the decision to do it as a surprise for my daughter and went to CandyLand warehouse in Warwick and got all the candy she liked as a child.

I bought all the containers at either Christmas Tree shop or at Savers. I had 14 different shaped glass containers when I was done. I think I got alittle carried away. haha

The ladies at CandyLand were very helpful and I even brought some of the jars with me to see how much it would fit.
