Lipstick/ lipgloss for smokey eye makeup recommendation?

Hi ladies,

I'm planning to get purple smokey eye makeup on my wedding day... what would you recommened for my lips? I figured, i need a light colored pink or rose-based color... one that gives a little bit of shine and doesnt dry my lips out... I usually dont wear makeup at all, so don't even own a lipstick...hahaa... any recommendations that would go well with dramatic eyes? Thanks for any suggestions!

    Well, when I do smoky eye makeup, I usually go very natural and neutral on the lips.  I either reach for L'oreal Color Riche lipstick in Gilded Pink or L'oreal Infallible lipgloss in Barely Nude.

    I'm doing purple smoky eyes as well.  When I went for my trial run, my MUA used a light brown lip gloss that had some pink tones in it and it looked great.

    I am an MUA and unless you want to look way too dramatic ALWAYS go with more natural if you have a thinner lip I would give a taupe color to make it look like you have more. Paired with a gloss your lips will look fuller.
