Second Weddings

sooo

I'm just sad and miserable
I'm wondering why I did this, wishing I just eloped. I feel like people are more demanding  then happy or helpful. Feeling like everything thing I've arranged and paid for isnt being done the way I've asked.
Mostly sad because I wish my FI would just go away for the next three weeks, I usually love him to pieces but right now cant stand the sight of him

Is this normal???
Sincerely

PMDD girl

With less than a month to go before the wedding, yup ... I'd say it falls within the range of normal.  If at all possible, just tune everyone out for the next 3 weeks, unless its a vendor.

Do you have a day-of coordinator or someone with whom you can roll through details?

You're so close and spring is finally on the way.  Hang in there!  I'm sending good vibes your way!  ((((HUGS))))

DebnChris - I'm two days behind you! You sound stressed, and what you are feeling is within normal ranges.

So I will tell you what we all have said from time to time to one another.  Relax, breathe and focus on the positive.  It's not easy but it is doable.  I have my moments too but I always attempt to circle back to what is positive and good about this up coming event (which really is everything).

Give yourself a wedding time out - think about and do something even if it is just for an hour that has absolutely nothing to do with the wedding you will feel better.

MikesAngie is so right.  I actually loved the planning process, and even though my wedding was really very simple, I also hit the wedding wall.  I knew it was time to have a week without any wedding preparation thoughts.  After a "break" I was ready to move to the finish line.  You can do it.

The last few weeks are very stressful for even the best relationships.

Although I didn't have problems with my DH at that time, the caterer was driving me to insanity the last week before the wedding and DH saved me. He and my wedding planner took over the final preps after I lost it and threw my hands up in the air.

I am very mellow and found myself wound up very tight the last week before the wedding. An undercurrent of electric jaw clenching ran through me. I think what you are experiencing is very normal....

I'm so far from my wedding I can't relate. BUT, my best friend, who lives in Maine in the summer, Florida the rest of the year will be here for about 10 days before the wedding............probably the longest time I will see her since I live in Massachusetts in 1982! So, not sure if I am looking forward to the wedding more, or having her here, but it's a motivating factor for me.

Hook up with great friends, relax, drink alcoholic beverages, do yoga, sit and meditate, get a mani-pedi, be your OWN best friend.......you planned the wedding you are having for a reason, and it was NOT to feel stressed.

    Good luck.
